Forsaken World – The Chains Of Kluer Are Broken!

As already announced by Perfect World Entertainment, the new update Chains of Kluer has been installed on the servers of free MMORPG Forsaken World yesterday. Apart from new features, the new update Chains of Kluer offers various new challenges. As a bonus, each player receives triple XP for completing quests for an initially indefinite period of time, starting from now.

The new features include a mounted combat system which enables the player to fight while on his faithful mount. A pet quest system which enables the player to have his pet, that used to be not very useful when on a quest, do the work.
Raise of the level cap to 80 and the possibility to learn new professions, skills and abilities.
There are new mounts, weapons, equipment, companions and novel dungeons!
Apart from that, a revolutionary system is added, called apprenticeship system.
This system was elaborated for players who enjoy helping new players. Having this new feature, it is now possible to pick two newbies to be your apprentice, help them, and receive mentor points in return which can be spent on new items. These for instance include mounts, the soul of money, dew for recovering health, scrolls and much more.

Additionally, there will be events for players at which they can obtain precious unique items and events that not only allow players to fight Kluer, but also have him join you in battle as your companion.
But for getting Kluer in blue quality as well as 100.000 prestige, time is limited.
In the period from 08-10-2011 to 09-10-2011, you will receive a virtual ticket, that allows you to win one of three Kluer pets as well as 100.000 prestige, for each purchase of either

  • 1 x Talent Compass
  • 5 x Paragon Packs
  • 5 x Guild Base Cores
  • 5 x Spirit Whistles

But there are two additional ways of obtaining one of these pets. Because the first player to reach level 80 may call a Kluer pet his own, as well as the first team to defeat Kluer.
Lastly, the update also features new achievements, token shop achievements to me more precise, and various rewards.
Below you find a list of those achievements and rewards:
  • Defeat Kluer – 25 points
  • Level a character to 80 – 25 points
  • Level a class to 80 – 50 points
  • Mounted battle – 10 points
  • Sparkling gem box
  • Soul stone (Cat)

Finally, here is a trailer of the game itself and a trailer on the update:

DA II – New DLC ‚Legacy‘

On July 26, 2011, EA and BioWare release Dragon Age 2: Legacy, a new DLC for PC, Mac and Xbox 360. The PS3 version is to be released the day after, on July 27, 2011. Dragon Age 2: Legacy allows the player to dive deeper into the mysterious past of the Hawke family of which the main character in Dragon Age II also is descended from. In the DLC, the protagonist gets in the sights of a vicious crime syndicate that is after ‘the blood of the Hawke’ and must put an end to their relentless attacks.

In the course of the game, the player leaves Kirkwall and travels to an old Grey Warden prison, in order to investigate the matter and uncover the bitter truth about the Hawke family. This new adventure can be played at any time during the campaign of Dragon Age II.

In the new story, the player encounters previously unknown Darkspawn, forges a powerful, class specific new weapon that can be upgraded with additional enhancements, and counters an ancient horror.

Diablo 3 - Beta Is Imminent

The long-awaited sequel to Diablo 2 was first announced in 2008, just to publish information about it over and over again in small intervals. But they kept silent about the beta for 2 years. But don’t panic, if it didn’t get through to you yet. The beta is imminent and coming very soon!

At Blizzcon 2010, Blizzard first mentioned a closed beta test of the game and then spontaneously raffled 1000 beta keys among the visitors. And it wasn’t long, before more detailed information was published.

The beta test was to take place sometime in third quarter of 2011, in the period from July 1 to September 30. This was at least announced by Mike Morhaime, CEO of Blizzard Entertainment, at Mai 9, 2011, during “Activision Blizzard First Quarter Calendar 2011 Results Conference Call”.

Furthermore, an internal event is going to take place tomorrow, on July 27, 2011, to which Blizzard invited several representatives of dedicated Diablo 3 fan pages. There, they are introduced to the Diablo 3 beta and will be provided with additional information around the game.

Now a picture appeared at Battle.net which gives players hope that the Diablo 3 beta test is soon to start. It is a box art that clearly shows the Diablo 3 logo and below the word “BETA” in capital letters.

Referring to another statement by Blizzard, the beta will not take place, until all platforms, that the game will support, have been announced. The latter is to be announced at this year’s Gamescom which will be held next month, from August 17-21.

An exact release date is still unknown, but if a leaked product slate is to be believed, which should not be trusted too much, we probably may slay hordes of monsters by 4th quarter of 2011. Unfortunately, Mike Morhaime also has a suitable comment on this matter: “If Diablo 3 is not released in 2011, it certainly will be by 2012.”
We will probably not learn any new details until Blizzcon 2011.
